Le Petit Vin d'Avril Rouge.

Le Petit Vin d’Avril Rouge was created by Vincent Avril, owner and winemaker of Clos des Papes, the historic family estate widely regarded as one of the benchmarks of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

Unlike the estate’s flagship wine, this is a non-vintage Vin de France, blending fruit from more than one harvest and bringing together a broad mix of Rhône and Bordeaux varieties. The result is a juicy, characterful red made for earlier drinking, but with the unmistakable pedigree of one of the Rhône’s great domaines behind it.

At £105 in bond with the the reputation, and pedigree, of Clos des Papes, Le Petit Vin d’Avril offers terriffic value.

We have secured a small parcel of four consecutive bottlings, from 2020 through to 2023, giving a rare chance to explore the wine across four releases.
